Can’t Register Watchmac
Published: 2009-03-11
This article helps you solve problems when Watchmac does not accept your registration code.
If you haven’t yet received a registration confirmation from bloo7 Sales, check your spam email folder. You may also have your registration information resent. To do so, use the Lost Registration Code form provided at http://bloo7.com/support.
If Watchmac does not appear to accept your registration information, update to the latest version of Watchmac available at http://bloo7.com/watchmac.
Also make sure you haven’t accidently mistyped your registration information. Capitalisation matters. If you copy the information from the confirmation email you received, make sure you don’t include any extraneous spaces or linebreaks.
If you have purchased a Watchmac licence at a MacUpdate promotion, make sure you use the correct code. The purchase confirmation MacUpdate sends is a bit ambiguous so you may have tried the transaction number instead of your registration code.
Correct registration codes start with “WM1”.
You will also need an internet connection so Watchmac can check your licence. To do this, Watchmac does not send anything but your email address and registration code.
It may also help to completely erase your Watchmac registration information and then reenter it:
- Quit Watchmac
- Copy and paste the following commands into the Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities) without the quotes: “
defaults delete com.bloo7.watchmac RegisteredUserEmail; defaults delete com.bloo7.watchmac RegistrationCode”. Execute these commands by pressing Return or Enter. - Restart Watchmac; your registration information should be erased.
You can now reenter your registration information.
